Major roles and responsibilities

The social media specialist will be responsible for coordinating and executing the company's core social media strategy, and would be working across all major social media channels including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Instagram.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop marketing and communications plans that leverage the social media space

- Own the strategy and execution of ideas

- Responsible for developing content across owned and earned social channels. This could include blog posts, tweets, status updates, pins, photos, videos etc.

- Create, manage and grow business presence across social media channels, including, but not limited to blogs, Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, LinkedIn, YouTube and Instagram

- Create social media campaigns and calls-to-action that drive traffic to the website

- Become an advocate for the company in social media spaces, engaging in dialogues and answering questions where appropriate

- Leverage measurement tools to provide progress reports and insights, while continually finding ways to improve on those metrics through testing and new initiatives

Requirements

- 2+ years of experience in social media marketing for the e-commerce industry

- Extensive knowledge in the field of Ayurveda

- Strong understanding of the web and social media analytical tools

- Strong interpersonal skills, an ability to eloquently communicate ideas, be interactive and have a good instinct for business

- Self-motivated individual who derives their source of energy from people & ideas and knows how to get the best from the available resources

- Outstanding ability to think strategically, and to identify and resolve problems

- Excellent judgment/decision making, conflict resolution, leadership, and motivational skills

- Strong work ethic and positive team attitude
