Description:

- Responsible for SEO strategy formulation and implementation, the SEO Head will have to work closely with the Digital marketing team, Content, Creative, PR & Media and Operations team to develop and implement appropriate online strategies for the business's websites, blog sites, and other pages.

- Tasked with the improvement of the business's site visibility and raising the organic search rankings, the Head of SEO will also be responsible for the creation, implementation, and analysis of SEO programs and campaigns. He plays a lead role in all off-site and on-site SEO projects.

We are looking for a young professional with hands on experience in increasing organic traffic multi-fold as well as in team building, management. (S)he would be responsible for building out the entire team to drive the implementation roadmap from recruiting to training to performance evaluation.

The SEO Head will directly be responsible for the conversions through organic traffic, avg. order value and top line from organic results.

Job responsibilities:

- Work towards quarterly and yearly SEO department performance targets and ensure that all content campaigns are run within the given budgets and deadlines.

- Accountable for the performance of all content (website, blog, other pages) optimized through the initiatives of the SEO team. Perform ongoing keyword discovery, expansion and optimization

- Review the business's content on a regular basis to identify opportunities, points of improvement, and creative solutions for the business's SEO programs.

- Team building, training and setup

- Works closely with the Content and Digital Marketing departments in tailoring optimized content for the business both in online and offline programs.

- Develop and implement link building strategy

- Conducts relevant SEO research and SEO Audit and takes a data-driven approach in the creation of audience profiles and SEO strategies to lead content pitches and product changes.

- Work with the development team to ensure SEO best practices are properly implemented on newly developed code

- Recommend changes to website architecture, content, linking and other factors to improve SEO positions for target keywords.

- Manage and improve organic search engine performance and goal-setting based on clickthrough rates, traffic, and conversions.

- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and changes with SEO and major search engines.

Qualifications / Skill sets:

- The candidate must have a proven and successful track record of 5+ years in the designing and delivery of SEO plans and strategies in fast paced businesses

- Great analytical skills and able to draw insight from raw information and data for determining SEO strategies, approaches, and content planning.

- Ability to conduct SEO analyses for trends, links, and influencers

- Understanding if analytical tools such as SEOMoz, Omniture, Google Analytics, Coremetrics, Webmaster tools, Buzzstream, Screaming Frog, Majestic, Mozamong others.

- Great understanding of other digital marketing channels, PR, web development, content creation, social media, on-site usability, off-site optimization, among others.

- Working knowledge in HTML, Java-script, AJAX CSS, Flash, and other valuable media technologies

- Proficient in scripting languages and content management systems like Word Press

- Must possess exceptional communication skills and people management skills

- The ability to work with back-end SEO elements such as .htaccess, robots.txt, metadata, site speed optimization, and related skills

- Proven success in link building and viral strategies

- A deep understanding of mobile strategy and how it relates to SEO

- A solid grasp of how blogging, PR, social media, and related strategies go hand-in-hand with SEO

- An up-to-date, working knowledge of current, past, and projected trends in the SEO industry
