Job Title : Head of Sales

Department : Sales

Reports To : CEO

Position Overview :

- As the Head of Sales, you will lead & be responsible for all the sales efforts of the company. You will have previous sales experience in the Alcobev sector, with good route to market experience in Karnataka, with Bangalore as primary focus. Exposure in other states will be useful. You will report to the CEO, lead and develop a diverse multidisciplinary team, cultivate strong partner relationships with key stakeholders, identify new growth and revenue generation opportunities, carry out implementation leading to a positive business growth line. The ideal candidate creates and implements sales strategies in line with the goals and objectives of the firm to accelerate growth.

What you will own and be responsible for :

- Overall Sales portfolio : Create & implement sales strategies in line with the company's sales targets & growth objectives. Ensure that the company maintains steady sales growth while reducing risks brought on by rapidly shifting market circumstances.

- Sales Budgets : Accountable for the management of budgets inclusive of sales revenue & promotional spends.

- Client engagement & Partner relationship management : Build & maintain strong relationships with all business partners. Actively engage in business negotiations with partners for sales activations/schemes.

- Market intelligence : Identify potential markets within targeted regions for expansion and lead in nurturing new market entries. Consolidate and interpret regional competitor activity, trade insights and market intelligence to identify innovation and renovation opportunities to drive category growth.

- Legal & regulatory Guidelines : Keep abreast and highlight the impact of any legal, regulatory or trade barriers.

Who you will work with :

- Apart from the standard corporate functions (management, HR, finance, procurement, etc), you will be expected to collaborate closely with:

- Sales Teams : Work closely with sales teams to identify opportunities to improve existing coverage and product distribution. Responsible for the leadership, mentoring, engagement, and development of a diverse sales team.

- Marketing team : Actively engage with the marketing team to identify marketing opportunities. Liaise with the marketing team on execution guidelines, regional marketing calendars and new product launches.

- Business operations heads to understand & develop potential synergies that could help augment sales.

- Business partners & vendors: Establish and maintain clear business parameters with new and existing customers across markets. Build and maintain key senior relationships with new and existing customers through frequent contact and market visits.

Qualifications :

Education :

- A Master's Degree in sales, marketing, business administration or relevant field.

Experience :

- A minimum of 12 years' experience in the fast-moving consumer goods industry.

- The ideal candidate should have at least 7 years' proven experience in a senior leadership role managing teams.

- Proven results in delivering sales targets over a wide territory, developing new customers, and building high level relationships with customers.
