Head - Corporate Sales - NGO (10-15 yrs)

Purpose of the Job:

Develop and implement long term sustainable strategies to raise financial and non-financial resources for Organisations India programs from high net worth individuals, Corporates, National and international funding institutions, Trusts, Organizations and Churches that will meet the set targets and objectives.

Key Deliverables:

- Will jointly and collaboratively develop and implement the CSR strategy for India, Marketing

- Intentionally explore avenues for new CSR alliances with likeminded Corporate houses

- Sustaining existing partners with relevant and compelling information to sustain partnership

- Involve Corporations in sustainable, workable and measureable partnership programmes in transforming communities

- Work with existing High Network individuals and nurture relationships that will facilitate giving and enhance engagement

Key Accountabilities :

Strategic Support:

- To take proactive role in the strategic process of developing, implementing and monitoring long term business plans to raise cash, GIK and other resources from Corporates, Major Donors and Key Accounts

- Proactively network and collaborate with wide range of stakeholders with key focus on corporate entities, collaborate NGOs and communities to build relevant partnership and enhance opportunities.

- Develop partnerships and strategic engagements with corporate entities across different parts of the country and sectors including CSR Funding, Co-branding, payroll giving etc.

- Lead generation by pitching new companies to secure long term corporate partnership by generating innovative proposals and integrating fundraising and awareness-raising packages.

Fundraising and Business Development:

- Build relationship with corporate, charitable trusts, embassies, International and National grant-giving bodies, other influential individuals and groups, churches, VIPs, key decision makers, chambers of commerce etc., with a view to create a proper public image and reputation to create new vistas for fund raising.

- Be fluent in current trends of CSR fundraising and develop and implement corporate affinity programmers, and sponsorship agreements.

- Develop and implement marketing and advertising plans to expand scope for raising resources

- Devise a strategy to access funding from institutions interested in development. This includes the Government of India, state governments, foreign embassies, and Multi-lateral funders.

- Enrol to be active members in forums and corporate bodies to enlarge scope for the ministry, like AIMA, MMA, CII, FICCI, ASSOCHAM, etc

- Initiate Corporate database management to manage and maintain contacts with key donors

- Periodically update the Donors on their giving and how it impacted the lives in the communities

- Work very closely with the Corporate engagement team and Programme Officer to build suitable proposals and report on the accomplishments

Corporate Outreach:

- Work with the CEO in order to represent Organisation Activities with Corporate Donors.

- Reach out to potential companies and ensure adequate follow-ups.

- Develop project proposals, concept notes etc.

- Conceptualize, plan and execute fundraising events.

Client Servicing:

- Manage relationship with current and new corporate partners.

- Gain appreciation of partners reporting needs on a continuing basis and ensure timely reporting and due diligence as per their expectations.

- Manage updating of the internal management system and ensure that all prospective and current corporate partner details are accurately recorded in the database.

- Undertake monitoring and evaluation of fundraising activities and achievements related to agreed targets and cost/income ratio.

- Liaise with Monitoring & Evaluation team and third party impact evaluation agencies to ensure smooth evaluation of the program.

Desired Profile of the Candidate:

Skills (the leadership skills to do the job)

- The ambiguity in CSR is having a good working knowledge of the issues that it covers, good enough to understand the principles and apply them to different circumstances.

- Influence people and get them onto your side.

- Ability to communicate clearly without confusion will be essential.

- Project Management and Sales skill.

- Able to report impact, so to have some understanding of data analysis and metrics.

- Knowledge & Qualifications (the specific qualifications and knowledge required), A post graduate qualification in a relevant discipline

- Knowledge of transformational and sustainable development

- Knowledge of key Organisation development sectoral and cross-cutting themes

- Knowledge of Christian principles demonstrated through a personal expression of Christian faith )

- Experience (the experience gained - including environment, timeframe and context)

- Should have had at least 5 years of leadership experience in CSR program and project management experience.

- Building successful collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
