The Job
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy Development:
Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and maximise profitability.
Franchisee Management:
Oversee and support franchisee operations, ensuring alignment with the company's goals and standards.
Market Analysis:
Conduct market research and analysis to identify new business opportunities, emerging trends, and competitor strategies.
Partnership/channels Development:
Cultivate and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers, vendors, and potential business partners.
Team Leadership:
Lead and motivate the business development team to achieve individual and collective sales objectives.
Performance Monitoring:
Monitor sales performance, analyse data, and generate reports to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
Training and Development:
Provide training and guidance to sales teams and franchisees to enhance their skills and capabilities.
Risk Management:
Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to protect the business and ensure continuity of operations.
Budget Management:
Manage the business development budget effectively, allocating resources to initiatives with the highest potential for return on investment.
Compliance:
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, company policies, and industry standards.
Ideal Candidate
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, sales management, or a related role in the retail industry.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to perform at their best.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
- Knowledge of retail operations, market dynamics, and industry trends.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with competing priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
- Willingness to travel as needed to meet business requirements.
