An ERP Sales Engineer is a professional who sells enterprise resource planning (ERP) software solutions to prospective and existing customers. They identify customer needs, demonstrate product features and benefits, and provide technical support throughout the sales cycle.

- Prospecting and qualifying new leads and opportunities for ERP software sales

- Conducting technical presentations, product demonstrations, and proof of concepts to showcase ERP software capabilities and value proposition

- Responding to customer inquiries, requests for information (RFIs), and requests for proposals (RFPs) with accurate and timely technical information

- Providing pre-sales technical support and guidance to customers and sales account managers

- Coordinating with ERP consultants, product managers, and implementation teams to design and propose optimal ERP solutions that meet customer requirements and expectations

- Negotiating contracts, closing deals, and achieving sales targets

- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of ERP software products, industry trends, and competitors
