About the Project (M-Rite COVID 19 Vaccination Project)

Under a USAID grant, JSI has been mandated to provide technical assistance to the Government of India and State governments of select states to identify challenges and facilitate feasible solutions to address them to rapidly ramp up COVID-19 vaccination in the country, aligned with the prevalent Government of India policy. John Snow India Pvt Ltd (JSIPL) will be the lead partner to aggregate, coordinate, and support the National and State Governments with the technical assistance required to facilitate the scale-up of COVID-19 vaccination in the population, supported by several sub-partners. The interventions will support demand and supply-side acceleration at the national, state, and sub-state levels. The technical assistance areas will be flexible and depend upon the needs expressed by the national and respective state governments and include but are not limited to supply chain, digital health, technology support, last-mile delivery, micro-planning, demand generation, data analysis, workforce expansion, and other areas.

3. JOB DESCRIPTION/ RESPONSIBILITIES:

JSIPL is urgently looking for a Graphic Designer who will carry out various designing assignments related to the COVID-19 vaccination programme. S/he will be responsible to develop and deliver creative materials for print, web and interactive presentations and design and lay-out of reports and other communication materials (banners, posters, booklets, leaflets, books, calendars, bulletins, flyers, cards, etc).

Reporting to Risk Communications Lead, the Graphic Designer will perform the following duties and responsibilities :

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

(1) Support in the designing and lay out of reports and presentations for printing, electronic distribution

(2) Create animations in PowerPoint and/or Flash for illustrative purposes (such as animation of maps and more advanced solutions)

(3) Custom photo editing (restoration, noise reduction, tonal adjustment)

(4) Design creatives for use in new media/ social media

(5) Edit creative materials for mass media and mid media

(6) Any other work assigned by the supervisor.

4. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:

Qualification and Experience :

(1) Applicants must have Graduation in Graphic Designing/Fine Arts or relevant subject

(2) Minimum of 3-5 years of progressively responsible work experience in graphic designing

(3) Experience in designing and developing creative materials on public health especially immunization will be an added advantage

(4) Efficient in Adobe suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and CorelDraw

(5) Experience in print media and digital media

(6) Experience of working with Government health departments at the national / state level will also be an advantage.

Skills and Competencies :

(1) Ability to understand the creative concepts, work independently and deliver quality creative content under tight timelines.

5. COMPENSATION OFFERED :

Gross compensation for the position is attractive. Please note that the offer made to the selected candidate shall be commensurate with qualifications, experience, and salary history.
