Graphic Designer (5-12 yrs)
Packaging Designer Responsibilities:
- Create visual concepts for product packaging
- Work with the design and marketing teams to discuss packaging specifications and confirm budgets
- Evaluate market trends and analyze similar packaging designs
- Brainstorm packaging ideas using hand sketches, verbal cues, words, and design software
- Develop and test new packaging solutions and strategies
- Work with other departments researching alternatives to current packaging solutions
- Consult with vendors and customers regarding product and package design
- Use skills in graphic design to make a product appealing to potential buyers through its packaging
- Select typefaces, colors, and illustrations for the packaging
- Use digital illustration and layout computer software to draft and create designs
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or related field - Design Education is a must
- 5+ years of experience in Packaging Design or related field
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
- Strong understanding of typography, color theory, layout design, and branding
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
