GetSetUp is an online community of people who want to learn new skills, connect with others and unlock new life experiences. Our safe, social and interactive learning environment has been specifically designed for older adults. Classes are taught by older adults and kept small to ensure everyone can actively participate. We help older adults stay mentally and physically fit, we create economic opportunities through jobs and re-skilling, and we create a community where people find meaning and purpose by helping each other and forming new connections. Founded in 2019, GetSetUp is headquartered in San Francisco.

You'll be responsible for increasing our user base and community, in close collaboration with our Community and Partnerships lead. You'll leverage your experience in managing communities of creators and media to build our community initiatives. Your primary objective will be to foster more and better community involvement. Because this is a small team, you'll be expected to be both strategic and tactical.

Responsibilities :

- Develop a community strategy and plan to reach users of the new product, implementing that plan, and then adjusting that plan as the audience grows.

- Advocating for the global community internally and externally.

- Designing programs to encourage creative uses of the product, then recruiting participants, and running those programs.

- Finding and connecting with people who are already using the product, and finding ways to feature them.

- Build out offline event engagement program as extension of online community

- Addressing any controversy or conflict that emerges from the way people are using the product, and contributing creative solutions to resolve the controversy.

- Developing the community playbook to help teams clearly communicate and align on the purpose, objectives, and execution of priority projects, improving our ability to coordinate cross-functionally.

- Managing the community/creator team as it grows.

About You : 

- Organized, understanding that the best way to build something great is to coordinate the work of many people.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Outstanding customer service skills and the ability to moderate online and offline conversations with our community.

- The ability to balance business needs, a sense of urgency, and shipping high quality and pragmatic solutions

- Strong analytical skills and a sense of ownership

- Flexibility in a fast-paced environment, working as part of a small team.
