Our client s the only and largest backward integrated manufacturer of PVC pipes in India and it is also recognized as one of the largest manufacturers of PVC resin in India. They have state-of-the-art manufacturing plants based out of Pune and Ratnagiri in Maharashtra and Masar in Gujarat. Our client is synonymous with superior quality, strength, and breakthrough innovation when it comes to PVC-U pipes and fittings. They are continuously increasing their product portfolio and production capacity that will enable them to achieve their goal of becoming a 1 Billion USD company in the coming years.

Brief Job Description : 

We are looking for an experienced General Manager to contribute to our company's sales objectives. Your responsibilities include supervising the sales team and building long-term client relationships.

KEY RESULT AREAS :

- Increase SPVC/EPVC sales over previous year.

- Increase in EPVC Customer Base

- Drop in Customer Complaints.

- Maintain Customer Relations.

Responsibilities:

- Responsible for all sales of SPVC and EPVC in India.

- Responsible for market development for the local market. Includes increasing sales/share of existing offerings to identify new product opportunities leveraging all categories.

- Role is responsible for developing marketing and sales plans for existing offerings and to implement strategies on a local level.

- Manage existing distribution/agent relationships; evaluate existing partners and develop recommended channel/sales approach to the variety of markets. Manage the team handling sales across India.

- Perform competitive intelligence in the local market to improve understanding.

KEY RELATIONS : 

- Internal: All Employees and Management

- External: Vendor / Consultants

Requirements:

Desired profile:

- Educational Qualification: Chemistry Graduate/Chemical Engineer

- Preferred MBA

- Proven work experience as a General sales manager at least 10-20 years

- Domain Knowledge:

- Knowledge of sales management in specialty Chemicals, Coating, Plastics, Adhesives, Master batches

- Knowledge of handling National role.

- Strong commercial, marketing and strategic acumen

- Results oriented - strive to push to improve outcomes

- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills

- Entrepreneurial orientation with experience growing business positions

- Strong time management and prioritization skills

- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of changing situations.
