Fundraising Consultant - Sales - NGO (5-15 yrs)

This role entails working very closely with the founder of an NGO (in the domain of theatre/performing arts) to raise funds from corporates/business houses, participate in fund raising applications with international donors, participating in related events, networking and promoting the work of the organisation.

Role Profile and Outline:

As a fundraising officer you are accountable for developing and implementing fundraising strategies.

Roles and Responsibilities:

- Identifying organizations and corporate with an interest in the arts, that can provide the funding towards multiple initiatives, from student bursaries, project funding, and overall organizational funding

- Writing out funding applications with the inputs from Director Strategy and Vision.

- Managing the fundraising pipeline and ensuring donor stewarding and engagement

- Pursuing, liaising and following up on all applications and prospective funders

- Maintaining relationships with existing patrons of the organization

- Building initiatives that leverage the community surrounding the various divisions.

- Identifying and prioritizing all possible avenues for future fundraising

- Researching all details of grant organizations and preparing and adapting applications to fulfill specific criteria.

- Presenting all research on funding possibilities to the Director and making recommendations on how to priorities funding efforts.

- Working closely with the communications team to raise the brand profile of the DSFM for more effective fundraising.

Key Requirements:

- Education: Any Graduate or Postgraduate

- Work Experience: 5 Years or more (Similar field or dealing with corporate preferred)
