First Steps - Regional Manager - Sales (6-13 yrs)

Regional Manager for Miniklub:

Job Summary:

The Regional Manager (RM) is a strategic leadership role responsible for overseeing the performance, operations, and profitability of stores & SISs within the assigned region. The RM ensures that stores meet company standards, targets, and goals, while also working to enhance the brand's presence in the region.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Budgeting and Financial Management:

- Provide inputs to develop the annual regional budget and monitor expenditures.

- Review store financials, analyze variances, and implement corrective actions as needed.

2. Store Performance and Profitability:

- Oversee the performance of multiple stores within the region to ensure they meet and exceed sales and profitability targets.

- Implement strategies to optimize store operations, reduce costs, and increase revenue.

3. Strategic Planning and Implementation:

- Develop & implement regional sales & marketing strategies in collaboration with the corporate office.

- Monitor regional market trends, competition, and local challenges, adapting strategies as needed.

4. Expansion and Development:

- Identify opportunities for store expansion or relocation within the region.

- Oversee the launch of new stores, ensuring they are set up to company standards and operational best practices.

5. Operational Excellence:

- Ensure that all stores adhere to company policies, procedures, and operational guidelines.

- Coordinate with area sales managers and their teams to facilitate smooth day-to-day operations, including inventory management, store layout, and merchandising.

- Collaborate with other departments such as marketing, finance, VM, Training, HR, IT and Admin to drive overall organizational goals.

6. Team Leadership and Development:

- Lead, mentor, and coach area sales managers and their teams to promote growth and achieve their individual and store targets.

- Facilitate regional training and development programs for the sales team.

- Assist in the recruitment, evaluation, and performance management of Area Sales Managers, store managers, TLs and other regional staff.

7. Customer Experience:

- Ensure that all stores offer exceptional customer service and maintain the brand's reputation.

- Address and resolve escalated customer complaints or issues within TAT.

8. Market Analysis & Relationship Management:

- Conduct regular visits to stores and business partners, gather market insights, monitor competitor activities, and understand emerging trends.

- Provide feedback to the head office about market trends, opportunities, and challenges.

- Strategize and adapt to the changing market dynamics.

- Build and maintain strong relationships with Business partners, franchisees, landlords, local authorities, suppliers, and other stakeholders.

- Represent the Brand wherever required.

9. Inventory Management:

- Collaborate with the supply chain & Planning teams to ensure the optimal inventory level in the area.

- Ensure timely delivery of products to customers in coordination with the logistics team.

- Provide feedback to Buying & Planning teams to minimize slow moving inventory.

10. Reporting:

- Provide weekly, monthly, quarterly & annual updates to senior management regarding store performance, regional market trends, and challenges.

- Ensure timely and accurate reporting from team members in the region.

Qualifications and Skills:

1. Bachelor's degree in Business, Retail Management, or a related field. MBA is a plus.

2. Proven experience (typically 5-8 years) in regional or multistore management, preferably in the retail sector.

3. Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.

4. Exceptional leadership and team management abilities.

5. Proficiency in MS Office Suite and retail management software.

6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

7. Ability to travel frequently within the region.

8. Strong negotiation skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

9. The role may require working during weekends or outside standard business hours based on business needs.

Compensation:

Salary, commission, bonuses, and other benefits will be in line with industry standards and based on experience and performance.
