First Steps - Category Manager - Non-Apparel Vertical (8-16 yrs)

End-to-end responsibility of non-apparel department, across different channels / verticals both offline and online (company owned online store & other online channels)

Key Responsibilities :

 Business related :

- Annual planning for the category in terms of sales, OTB, mark down, plan for growth

- Monitor the category business plan, including the financial KPIs - sales, stocks, NOD and markdown

Assortment Planning & Allocation :

- Monitor assortment mix at vertical level

- Plan the optimum product mix basis stores- past performance and potential

- Ensuring optimal availability in stores

- Monitor merchandise allocation and check availability for online & offline stores

- Plan as per display capacity, stock ageing, stock rotation

- Competitor analysis to determine potential for growth through new product launches or change in pricing strategy

- Coordinate with external brands to ensure stocks in stores are in line with the brand's updated product range, on a regular basis

Category analysis :

- Monitor complete product range

- Analyze competitor presence in the category

- Perform analysis to understand the customer buying behavior

- Monitor sell through and stock cover as per agreed terms

- Ensure the brand master, smart sheets are accurate and updated

- Study category gaps and fulfill the same

- Plan IBTs to ensure NODs remain in check

Sales Analysis :

- Store Wise

- Sub-Department wise

- MC wise

- Product wise

- Month wise trend in above

Other Responsibilities

- Communication with stores to ensure their requirements are met and they are in line with company strategy for growth in non-apparel

- Regular store visits

- Suggest improvements basis market trends and competition

- Analyze customer preferences and provide feedback on products / customer concerns

- Maintain inter-department healthy working relationship

- Upgrade and upskill as per the need for the role
