FA Software Services - Business Development Role (5-9 yrs)

Requirement : 

We are hiring for Area Sales Manager.

Location: Based out of Mumbai and must be willing to travel across India.

Responsibilities and Duties :

New Business Development :

- Prospect for potential new clients and turn this into increased business.

- Cold call as appropriate within your market or geographic area to ensure a robust pipeline of opportunities. Meet potential clients by growing, maintaining, and leveraging your network.

- Identify potential clients, and the decision makers within the client organization.

- Research and build relationships with new clients.

- Set up meetings between client decision makers and company's practice leaders/Principals, CIO, CTOs

- Plan approaches and pitches. Work with team to develop proposals that speaks to the client's needs, concerns, and objectives.

- Participate in entire project life cycle from requirement gathering till sign off.

- Bridge the gap between the client and the technical team and translate all requirements effectively.

- Participate in pricing the solution/service.

- Handle objections by clarifying, emphasizing agreements and working through differences to a positive conclusion. Use a variety of styles to persuade or negotiate appropriately.

- Present an image that mirrors that of the client.

Client Retention :

- Create strategies to understand new requirements from existing clients

- Work with technical staff and other internal colleagues to upsell to existing clients

- Arrange and participate in internal and external client debriefs.

Business Development Planning :

- Identify opportunities for campaigns, services, and distribution channels that will lead to an increase in sales.

- Using knowledge of the market and competitors, identify and develop the company's unique selling propositions and differentiators.

- Participate in Road Shows and Events showcasing the capability of the company.

Reporting :

- Submit weekly progress reports and ensure data is accurate.

- Track and record activity on accounts and help to close deals to meet targets.

- Develop the format and content of sales reports as per criteria agreed with Senior Management

Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications :

- Any graduate with 5+ years of experience in a similar role in IT/ ITES industry. MBA preferred.

- Exposure to the FinTech industry / Insurance Industry is a big bonus.

- Experience in Direct Sales of at least 4+ years (not showroom or retail sales)

- Ability to work in a small but rapidly growing firm ; we need an entrepreneurial attitude

- Excellent oral & written skills in English

- Ability to think strategically yet tactically; be able to see the big picture and also the small details

- Ability to find contacts and quickly get in the door with new clients

- Resourceful, never say die approach

- Positive, cheerful attitude

- Excellent knowledge of MS Office, especially PowerPoint
