Executive - Presales (5-13 yrs)
Duties & Responsibilities :
- Provide technical support for pre-sales and develop customer solutions.
- Develop technical solutions and provide specific technical information upon request.
- Work with sales and marketing to provide pre-sales application engineering support in order to provide additional value to customers. This will include traveling to customer facilities with sales and marketing personnel when additional technical expertise is required.
Answering technical questions concerning Video/Broadband CPE devices/SW. Act as liaison between EMEA customers and the BU (PLM, PMO, Engineering) .
- Technical hands on work by setting up and configuring demo- s/POC at customer sites or marketing events and supporting the customer during the evaluation.
Role in the Sales Process :
SKILLS REQUIRED :
- Home Access systems and physical media requirements, including xPON (Fiber), DOCSIS, 4G/5G FWA and in-home wireless applications.
- Home Gateways for GPON/XGSPON, DOCSIS and FWA and understanding of Home Wireless solutions.
- Video streaming technologies and codecs including ABR DASH/HLS, MPEG, DVB, multicast/unicast video over IP.
- IP protocol, IPv6, routing protocols, QoS, WiFi standards and Bluetooth.
- Good understanding of the Linux architecture.
- Embedded systems SW desired e.g.: Linux, Android TV, RDK, OpenWRT.
- Basic understanding of RDK-B, remote management protocols (TR-069 and BBF standards) and open software solutions for home environments. Such as prpl, openWRT.
