Responsibilities:

Business Development

1. Generating business leads and following up on sales opportunities.

2. Cold calling potential customers and building relationships.

3. Arranging meetings with clients.

4. Following up swiftly on sales enquiries and sending out information.

5. Working closely with other teams to develop new business.

6. Researching the market and identifying potential target customers.

When it comes to generating leads, day-to-day duties typically include:

- Researching organisations and individuals online (especially on Linked In and Job Portals) to identify new leads and potential new markets

- Researching the needs of other companies on the services they would need

- Contacting potential clients via email or phone to establish rapport and set up meetings

- Planning and overseeing innovative marketing initiatives

When it comes to the challenge of selling, other typical duties include:

- Preparing PowerPoint presentations.

- Contacting clients to inform them about new developments in the company's database

- Developing quotes and proposals

- Negotiating and renegotiating by phone, email, and in person.
