Required skills of the role:

- A proven track record with 6 Months - 1 Yrs of experience in selling market research/consultative solutions to the public sector in India that helps organizations further their mid to long-term business priorities

- Intelligent, able to solve problems, and react positively to change

- Tenacity drive and resilience

- Commercial awareness

- A targets-driven approach to work

- Experience in strategic market information sales

- Self-motivated and organised

- Oral and written fluency in English and Hindi (oral) is preferable

- Prior knowledge of government tendering process and vendor empanelment in India is critical

- Excellent negotiation and communication skills

- Confidence to uncover and carry out the sales process through in-person meetings keeping in mind how the public sector in India is structured.

Key Responsibilities:

Product Knowledge

- Understand and succinctly explain as well as consulting capabilities

- Able to apply and design unique solutions using all available resources to address client needs

Client Organization Understanding

- Building relationships, creating a deeper network inside client organizations with consistent and proactive dialogue with multiple decision makers.

- Able to map, network, and penetrate a client's organizational structure as well as understand key business processes like strategic planning, innovation funnels, and new market entry strategies.

- Frequently challenge clients to constructively broaden their perspective.

Sales Process

- Responsible for an annual upsell target as well as well as secure contract renewals against our 90% retention rates

- Uses a refined consultative approach to identify points of engagement. Going beyond providing data to applying our industry insights for problem solving. Seeking areas to assist with urgent projects but also building consistent, structured and predictable points of engagement.

- Always hunting for new areas our capabilities can be applied

- Expanding our contacts beyond existing sources, developing a tailored value proposition for various areas within an organization

- Presenting a benefit-led approach to engagement and basis for continued relationship building

- Assist in the creation of syndicated and consulting proposals

- Able to use polite persistence to engage difficult to reach senior executives, following through on long term projects as well as identifying multiple ways to assist/address obstacles in the process along the way

- Negotiation & support of closing syndicated and consulting/ad hoc proposals
