Job Expectation and Scope

The Relationship Manager is responsible for managing external relationships with potential as well as existing partners and customers.

In this role, the Relationship Manager will actively work to build and maintain long-term relationships with key partners and customers. He/she will also be responsible for scoping out potential business development opportunities and partnerships.

Key Responsibilities

1. Identify key employees in partner companies to cultivate profitable relationships

2. Understand customer needs and develop plans to address them

3. Collaborate with internal teams (e.g. sales, engineers, senior management) to address customers needs

4. Forward upselling and cross-selling opportunities to the sales team

5. Aim to preserve customers and renew contracts

6. Schedule regular meetings with customers and partners to ensure that they are satisfied

7. Resolve customer complaints quickly and effectively

8. Promote high-quality sales, supply and customer service processes

9. Approach potential customers to establish relationships

10. Gain solid knowledge of competitors and study them to find new ways to retain customers

11. Act as point of contact for complaints and escalate issues as appropriate

12. Help sales team up-sell or cross-sell services and products

13. Ensure both the company and clients adhere to contract terms

Successful Candidate Profile

1. Prior experience in banking background with exposures to MFI clients is preferrable

2. Should possess extensive experience and knowledge in Business development with excellent interpersonal and problem solving skills

3. Preferably an MBA in Marketing/Sales from a IRMA or any rural program from reputed institute
