Sales and Community Associate - Bangalore

Overall purpose

Sales and Community Associate duties and responsibilities include understanding the business line of the company by demonstrating complete knowledge of the product and services it offers. A sales associate is required to be working closely with customers to understand customer requirements, answer their queries about the products and recommend the right location, choice of configuration etc. One of the key expectations of the job would be to resolve customer complaints within the specified time and ensure maximum client satisfaction. He / she will need to contribute in promoting the brand and create awareness in select micro-markets. He / she would also be expected to bring in market intelligence about the demand side of the business to enhance and make the product market friendly.

Role and Responsibilities

- Lead generation & sales conversion - Identify the right channels and source various sales opportunities through inbound lead follow - up, outbound cold calls and e-mails

- Drive efficiency of lead generation through offline and online marketing

- Conduct thorough market research of all tech-parks, major IT companies and colleges in designated territories and markets

- Increase brand awareness across various social media platforms

- Strike strategic alliances with channel partners

- Source, recruit, motivate and manage interns and be responsible for their accountability

- Document sales by creating or updating customer profile records

- Manage financial transactions of the deals and keep the Sales Head informed appropriately

- Route qualified opportunities to the appropriate sales executives for further development and closure

- Close sales and achieve the quarterly targets assigned

- Maintain and expand database of prospects within the assigned territory

- Liaison with the customer on a regular basis, initially showing around accommodation and projects

- Conduct competitive analysis to understand practices prevalent in the market. Analyse the relevant practices and incorporate the same into the business

Summary of Experience and Competencies required (knowledge, skill and behaviour)

- Possess at least 4 to 5 years of experience in hospitality, co- working, real estate, co-living spaces and start ups

- Understand micro markets from the demand side of the business

- Should possess excellent negotiation skills and - closing the deal- skills

- Basic understanding of sales principles and customer service practices is a must

- Working knowledge of customer and market dynamics and requirements in the co-living spaces is required

- Should be able to demonstrate the ability to understand and have insights into consumer behaviour

- Should drive sales through engagement of customers, smart selling, and sharing of product knowledge

- Possess excellent communication skills, ability to articulate and use high degree of persuasive skills to close deals

- Strong listening and presentation skills is a requirement

- Ability to multi task, prioritize urgent / important work and smart work organisation skills is needed

- Should be passionate as a person and display high energy and enthusiasm

- Should be self motivated, aggressive in achieving the set targets and manage time effectively

- Should be easy going, having necessary networking skills and should be able to make connections easily

- Possess traits like resilience, reliability, perseverance and focus on achieving efficiency in the job

- Must be able to work in a team, co-operate with team members and display ability to take direction

- Should be able to give market insights to the Business Development team for acquisitions in terms of product pricing

- Should be a good leader to guide and manage a team of sales executives
