Consultant - Presales (3-8 yrs)

The key responsibilities:

- The Pre Sales Executive is to engage (along with the Sales teams) with customer's to understand (or anticipate in most of the cases) their- critical business issues/pain areas and create a business solution / value proposition around the CRM product offerings.

- The Pre Sales Executive is responsible for making sales presentations and collateral on business solutions built around CRM product to the client organization. 


Mostly these presentations are made to Management in the client organization. The Pre Sales Executive's primary responsibility is to articulate the business value proposition of deploying a CRM Solution.

- Creating a business solution around the CRM product requires skill to configure /customize the product. The Pre Sales Executive is responsible for creating the business processes for the client in the product based on the design & guidance of the team. A Pre Sales Executive needs have experience in Implementation of CRM / ERP product. The pre-sales consultant needs to have a technology background or working in similar enterprise software products and need to be familiar with forms design, database creation etc.

- The Pre Sales Executive creates business proposals, responses to RFPs and solution papers in course of an enterprise sales lifecycle. The Pre Sales Executive also acts as a single-point of contact for all customer queries on product features technical queries etc. in course of the sales lifecycle.

- Pre Sales Executive needs engage with customers from diverse industry verticals and hence needs to be conversant on the customer facing business processes in various industry verticals (like Banking and Finance, Insurance, BPOs, Contact Centres etc.).

While engaging in a new industry vertical, the Pre Sales Executive needs to very quickly understand the general business processes in the said vertical through research.

- The Pre Sales Executive works closely with the Professional Services team (responsible for implementation) providing input on the initial implementation scope and approach to arrive at the project timelines and estimates.

- The Pre Sales Executive needs a good understanding of technology, specifically integration with other applications, solution deployment etc. Understanding of the underlying technology of the product as well as technology issues at the clients- end is a necessity to provide a comprehensive software solution to the customer.

- The Pre Sales Executive would report to the Principal Solutions Architect.

Mandatory Skills:

- Needs to have 1 - 2 years of overall IT experience. Should have knowledge / workingexperience in Implementation of enterprise solution products like CRM, ERP, Core banking or any such high involvement products.

- BE / B Tech / MCA / Degree in Computer Science / MBA from a reputed college / university.

- Client facing experience and excellent presentation skills to very senior audience is a must. Presales consultants performing sales support roles only (RFP filling, proposal preparation, demo building, tele-calling etc.) and without client facing experience need not apply.

- Understanding of business processes in diverse industry segment is a must. The candidate should have the ability and prior experience in articulating business benefits of software solutions to key decision makers in the client organization. Must have experience in creating and explaining complex business solutions.

- Technical exposure to design/ development, implementation of business solutions.

- Working knowledge of front-end application like Visual Basic and databases like MSSQL.

- Experience in creating business proposals, filling up of complex RFPs, creatiion of solution papers etc. Must be highly skilled in creating documents to articulate business issues and technology solutions for the same.

- Must have the ability to articulate technology concepts to both high level business audiences and highly technical individuals. Needs to have good understanding of technology. Needs to understand the various application software that is used by businesses, the integration between them, the technology behind each of them.

- Proposal, RFP preparation and communication of client's requirements to the implementation team to arrive at project estimates requires very good grasp of technology.

- Excellent written, oral communication and Interpersonal skills.

- Ability to multi-task, work in a demanding global team environment, understand and be responsive to customer needs, work under tight deadlines, quickly learn new technologies, work independently and a willingness to take ownership of problems.

- Experience working with the sales force in assisting in - closing- sales opportunities is required.

Desirable :

- Previous experience in CRM packages is desirable.

- Knowledge and experiences with enterprise software solutions

- International Exposure is desirable but not mandatory
