Business Development Role - Recruitment (4-15 yrs)

We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Business Development professional to join our company with a focus on startup clients. The Business Development role in this context plays a pivotal role in identifying, acquiring, and nurturing new business opportunities within the startup ecosystem. Your primary objective is to build client relationships, contribute to business growth, and connect startup companies with top talent.

Responsibilities:

1. New Client Acquisition:

- Identify and target early-stage and high-growth startup companies as potential clients.

- Generate leads through market research, networking, and proactive outreach.

- Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of startup clients.

2. Client Engagement:

- Establish and nurture relationships with startup founders, HR teams, and decision-makers.

- Understand the unique hiring needs, business objectives, and culture of startup clients.

- Conduct client meetings, presentations, and discussions to tailor recruitment solutions to their specific requirements.

3. Market Analysis:

- Stay informed about the startup ecosystem, emerging trends, and evolving talent needs.

- Analyze market data to make informed decisions and identify areas for business growth.

- Prepare market research reports and present findings to startup clients.

4. Proposal Development:

- Craft customized recruitment proposals and service agreements for startup clients.

- Clearly communicate the recruitment firm's value proposition and expertise in startup talent acquisition.

- Collaborate with the recruitment team to align proposals with client needs.

5. Contract Negotiation and Closure:

- Negotiate contract terms, fees, and service agreements with startup clients.

- Successfully close new business deals and establish long-term partnerships.

- Ensure all contracts comply with company policies and legal requirements.

6. Client Retention and Growth:

- Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing startup clients, ensuring satisfaction with services.

- Identify opportunities for cross-selling, upselling, and expanding services within existing startup accounts.

- Collaborate with startup clients to understand their evolving talent needs as they scale.

7. Reporting and Documentation:

- Maintain detailed records of client interactions, contracts, and communication.

- Provide regular reports to management on business development progress, pipeline status, and client -performance.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.

- Proven experience in business development, sales, or client relationship management, with a focus on startup recruitment or HR services preferred.

- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.

- Strong networking abilities and the capacity to build and maintain client relationships.

- Excellent negotiation and presentation skills.

- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret market data and industry trends specific to startups.

-Goal-oriented with a track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets.

- Proficiency in CRM (Customer Relationship Management) systems.

- Team player with the ability to collaborate with recruitment teams and startup clients.

- Entrepreneurial spirit and adaptability to the fast-paced startup environment.

- Ability to work independently and take the initiative to generate new business opportunities.
