BUDS - Manager - Business Development & Partnerships (3-5 yrs)

Key Responsibilities :

Donor Acquisition :

- Perform targeted research on donor demographics, preferences, and segmentation to reach out to potential donors with focused approaches to sourcing, meeting, and closing deals

- Create appropriate pitch decks for each fundraising program


- Meet set number and income targets by signing financial supporters for the organization.

- Plan and coordinate events (online/offline) to raise funds

- Liaise with internal stakeholders, senior leadership and finance team to ensure financial sustainability through careful budgeting, realistic fundraising targets and coordinating timely access to funds from supporters

- To ensure confidentiality of information pertaining to the organization by him/herself.

- To play an active role in the overall target achievement of the team.

Donor Management :

- Manage existing donor relationships and form new donor relationships with relevant stakeholders including but not limited to national and international grant agencies and corporates

- Provide reporting, updates, and documentation on a regular basis

- Maintain complete and orderly records of donors and manage regular donor communications

Additional Responsibilities

- Undertake a variety of marketing campaigns focused on fundraising

- The candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining direct marketing strategies to meet agreed fundraising objectives

- S/he should be able to perform customer research, evaluate market condition, perform competitor analysis and develop new fundraising techniques

Interpersonal Skills:

- Strong leadership, multi-tasking, and collaboration skills; proven ability to be flexible in a team-oriented approach with diverse groups of people

- Should have the ability to quickly adopt diversity, culture and ethos of the organization

- Exemplary communication skills and outgoing, yet poised personality. Strong reading and writing skills along with telephonic communication skills

- The candidate has to be a go-getter and a great team player; someone who is very hands-on and can get the job done, instead of waiting for instructions

Ideal Candidate Requirements:

- 3-5 years of relevant experience in Fundraising and Business Development

- A strong understanding of the social impact sector.

- Understanding of wealth and donation management; soundness with networking & an understanding of donation forums will be an added advantage
