Benesse is the largest education company of Japan and among the top 5 largest in the world. We have been operating in Japan for the last 65+ years. Off late, we have broadened our portfolio to cover child care and elderly nursing care, but a dominant part of our business still is in the core education space - pre K, K12, higher education and professional courses. Other than Japan, we are present in seven countries- mostly in South East Asia and China. We offer comprehensive services and solutions (both analog and digital) to schools (B2B2C) and students (B2C) directly (After school tutoring, Subscription courses, English language assessment, Entrance exam preparation, etc.) to enhance their academic performance and help them enter top-tier universities globally.

Benesse in India :

Benesse has an aspiration to positively impact the education space in India, creating and contributing towards its evolution to support the dreams of the "next gen". We are now in the growth stages of our work on the K12 education space in India. In AY 2021-22, Benesse conducted a few pilot projects with some of the leading schools through a Proof of Concept (PoC) of our core student assessment and study support offerings. In the current AY 2022-2023, we have expanded the scope of our offerings, increasing our coverage of schools, building our India team and developing our ed-tech and other products (in B2B, B2B2C & B2C) and offerings further. Alongside, we are working on identifying other opportunities of growth and partnerships in the country. For the upcoming AY 2024-2025; we have already expanded our geographical presence across multiple regions in India and have a stable set of B2B and B2B2C offerings for our rapidly growing clientele of schools there.

The role :

We are on the lookout for a passionate and pragmatic candidate - someone who has worked in B2B/B2B2C education in a similar role and has the passion to contribute towards the development of the K12 space in India. Specifically, the role requires the individual to

1. Lead the school-servicing efforts for AY 2023-24 in identified locations across India (please refer to 'Location' below). The candidate is expected to work collaboratively as a member of Benesse's School Success team, to execute our partnership programmes in at least 8-10 schools in her/his geography during the AY 2023-24.

2. The candidate shall be responsible for ensuring that the desired performance improvement is achieved in her/his portfolio of schools.

3. Ensuring quality of service, and consequently high degree of customer satisfaction (NPS score of 9 and above) with Benesse's products and services will be the responsibility of the candidate

4. Overall, the execution of operations which include, and is not limited to

- Plan for periodic meetings with the different stakeholders in the school, identifying the KDMs and ensuring proper translation of Benesse's core objective of the programme to the different stakeholders

- Should we mention Teacher, Student and Parent Sessions or should we rephrase it as "Working in close partnership with the school and conducting various awareness, orientation and operations sessions in the school with the teachers, students and parents"

- Ensure smooth operations in conducting in-school interventions like assessments, and workshops

- Up-sell and cross-sell of other products/services in the portfolio to increase net revenue from the school

5. Simultaneously, the candidate is also expected to leverage her/his relationship with the schools in her/his portfolio to

i. ensure retention for the next AY

ii. upsell other Benesse products or services

6. Benesse being a growing organisation in India, the candidate may also be required to play any other role as per the emerging needs of a start-up type set-up

Eligibility

We are looking for a professional who has

1. A passion for education transformation and a business/entrepreneurial mindset at the same time

2. Minimum 5+ years of professional experience in a similar role for a leading

B2B/B2B2C education/edtech company or an equivalent experience

3. Undergraduate / Postgraduate degree from a reputed University in India/outside

Location : Delhi NCR

Note : This is on contract JOB for an year and the same will be converted into on roll post successful completion of one year in the system.
