About the Position :

Position Summary

- Ideate, conceptualize and plan the relevant visual selection that includes info-graphics, graphics graphic illustrations, page layout with the objective of enhancing the visual appeal and aesthetics of the page.

Areas of Responsibility

- Ideate and Plan: Ideate, conceptualize and plan various illustrations, graphic illustrations, imaging, info-graphics and assist in picture enhancement and color correction in order to create differentiated quality of the paper.

- Actual Layout: Place photos with relevant stories, add the illustrations with graphics, information boxes and complete page layout, design, monitor packages and coordinate with the desk team in order to make it reader friendly and to bring out desired results.

- Enrichment and Knowledge updation: Keep abreast with the developments around design / art in global newspapers by daily tracking through all the sources in order to prepare for future assignments and aesthetically enhance the look of the product.

- Story Placement: Decide story placement and visibility of visuals for the special pages in order to bring out the optimum look and feel of the paper.

Key skills/competencies:

- Time management

- Designing info-graphics using Photoshop, Quark Express, in-design, Illustrator software (CS)

Candidate :

Educational Qualifications Required : Graduate in any discipline (preferably in Design degree), computer graphic software, Knowledge of illustrations

Relevant Experience :

Minimum 5-7 years of experience with adequate exposure design
