a. Total: 8 years of work experience

b. Minimum 2-3 years- experience as a General Manager - Retail Sales

Qualification Required : Graduation, MBA is preferred.

Description of Role:

The General Manager - Retail Sales is responsible for managing the overall functioning of the store. They manage everything from checking inventory to disciplining and training employees to deciding which products to stock on shelves. They make sure the store is performing well, that customers are satisfied, and that subordinates are productive thereby ensuring maximum profitability for the store. General managers - Retail Sales can be asked to work in a variety of environments; they may work in the office, on the retail floor, or at a warehouse.

The job provides a friendly but challenging environment and an opportunity to showcase the skills in the areas of Customer Focus, Tracking Budget Expenses, Pricing, Vendor Relationships, Market Knowledge, Staffing, Results Driven Strategic Planning, Management Proficiency, Client Relationships, Verbal Communication.

Candidates should have a good understanding of market trends, international brands and spending habits of consumers.

Key Responsibilities:

- To understand the latest customer and Industry trends - To identify current and future customer requirements by establishing rapport with potential and actual customers.

- To work to meet all sales targets, plan store sales strategies, analyse sales data, and work to expand sales.

- To manage the Inventory efficiently

- To achieve financial objectives by preparing an annual budget, scheduling expenditures, analysing variances and initiating corrective actions

- Assist the management in HO on the right timing and nature of schemes / sales / offers to be given.

- Responsible for collating the daily sales and analysing the past sales trends.

- Manage retail store staff, hire and train new employees, motivate current employees, schedule employee hours, and oversee payroll and maximise effort to get the best performance.

- Plan store layout and displays to simplify customer shopping and promote products.

- Resolve customer problems and handle customer complaints

- Experience as a previous General manager - Retail Sales in the following stores is preferable:

- Excellent team Leadership Skills as well as integrity and accountability.

- In depth understanding of consumer trends and brand preferences

- Knowledge of international brands and competitors

- Relevant experience -Excellent communication, problem-solving and team working skills

- Customer Service Skills

- Excellent writing skills

- Ability to come up with innovative solutions to scale up the business will be desirable

- Extreme passion and drive, an out of the box thinker

- Commercial acumen, Strong work ethic

- Extremely efficient and productive while having an emphasis on quality

- Computer experience and skills - Strong proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
