The revenue earning departments of BEL has four segments - Consumer Durables (2058 Cr) Lighting (913 Cr), EPC (1428 Cr) (Engineering & Projects), & Exports (31 Cr). These segments are supported by business units - Consumer Durables - Fans, Domestic Appliances, Kitchen Appliances, & Morphy Richards; Lighting - Domestic Lighting, & Luminaires; EPC - Transmission line Tower, Power Distribution & Illumination EPC.

With 21 branch offices spread across India we are supported by a chain of about 2200 distributors, 4100 authorized dealers, over 4,00,000 retail outlets and over 250 Customer Care centers.

Now, we have this opening for a Regional Sales Manager - South for our EPC Illumination Division.

Job purpose & Scope :

Proven track record of increasing revenues, establishing networks, streamlining workflow and creating a team work environment to enhance profitability, through innovative approach, for reputed organizations.

Major Areas of Responsibilities & Authorities :

- Managing the sales and marketing operations for increasing the market share, promoting products and services.

- Formulate strategies for achieving the business goals across region.

- Conducting detailed market study to analyze the latest market trends and tracking competitor activities and providing valuable inputs for fine-tuning the selling and the marketing strategies and developing channel sales partners

- Over see the identification of prospective clients, mapping their requirements, designing of proposals and conducting techno-commercial presentations for new business development.

- Handling the escalations for ensuring customer satisfaction by providing timely support & service as per agreed quality norms of the organization.

- Provide support to teams in issues involving tendering & bid management, estimations, techno-commercial evaluations, contract negotiations etc

- Responsible for effective execution of projects, maintain the profitability by effective planning.

- Increasing reach, enhancing network and improving customer perception.

- Liaison with consultants and specifiers, End Users in the Utility & Infrastructure segment, Architects for project approval and achieve Key Account Business.

- Ensure necessary steps are taken to meet statutory compliances during project execution.

- Determine and assess need for additional staff and/or consultants and make the appropriate recruitments if necessary.

- Ensure collection efficiency and ensure financial viability.

- Ensure and work to retain and maintain market share in various product categories.

- Enhance team spirit and build strong teams and also curb attrition

Person Specifications :

Essential Qualification : Degree Engineering

Desired Qualification : Degree Engineering + MBA

Preferred Experience : 12-17 yrs in driving a wider geography and responsible for driving the business and team.

Industry Preference : Engineering, Lighting
