This is an apprenticeship opportunity with Global Service Center of a large multi-national Insurance company. The contract will be for a period between 6 months to 2 years. Job Family Summary :

The Support Function is responsible for assisting claims professionals or a Field office by performing analysis or activities related to recover loss dollars of 3rd Party Claims through effective gathering of Claims information, co-ordinate pre-and post claims filing activities, expense management, and other claim related activity. Claims would be filed and handled with quality and adherence to guidelines defined as part of the Claims process life cycle.

Job Summary : 

This job processes complex, technical claim related activities within established quality, productivity and process standards on specific losses as directed by management or a claim adjuster. The individual handles a single line of claims or a combination of claims from different segments. Claims processed may be complex and an understanding of liabilities and recovery guidelines, would be beneficial. The individual is expected to deliver high quality service while handling Claims files as per defined process and metrics.

Key Responsibilities :

Customer Service :

- Makes and maintains a connection with the customer by understanding and meeting their needs; serves the customer with empathy; and follows up to ensure that customer needs have been met

- Inform parties of relevant loss details and necessary policy,liability and coverage related information

Admin Support :

- Identifies legal liability and pursues pre-recovery guidelines as defined to enable effective collection of loss dollars in an efficient and effective manner

- Researches paid claims, answers inquiries, and coordinates with other departments, adjusters, and 3rd party through defined channels in order to effectively identify and provide relevant Claims details.

- Performs duties, include data entry, identify/evaluate/analyze critical Insurance documents for processing claims and witness report requests, filing paper documents, processing payments and system updates

- Handles claim files (locates/requests files), files paperwork, reconstructs missing files, moves misfiled documents, sends to other offices, etc.)

- Retrieves, prints, faxes, or mails supporting documentation to vendors or others as directed

- Provides back-up for any support functions in the office

- Ensure necessary Claims file ownership, triage documents and tasks to relevant front/back-office teams

- Actively participates in driving outcomes and goals relative to the process to ensure best in class services are being delivered

Claims Support : 

- Receives, screens and handles telephone calls and other electronic correspondence as per defined Quality standards

- Contacts or receives contact from customers or other claim related third parties to obtain and/or provide necessary file information to comply with quality and process standards

- Generates and sends appropriate forms to insured/claimant for completion

- Processes claims payments and follow-up with external/internal functional units to check and update necessary claims status

- Completes all necessary forms, logs documents into the system, and routes them to the appropriate parties

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities/Experience :

- Undergrads/Grads with minimum 12 months of experience in insurance voice and back office

- Decisive, Organized with good organization skills

- Exhibits a positive attitude and patience while collaborating with the team to achieve goals

- Able to effectively communicate through both verbal and written communication

- Knowledge of Excel and Word

- Perform tasks of defined complexity under general supervision in accordance to defined guidelines

- Flexible, versatile, and being able to adapt to changing environment

- Has regular and predictable attendance
