Assistant Manager - Sales Support (4-6 yrs)

Job Description :


- This group of sales support staff is responsible for the support and administration of the sales function by managing the end-to-end pre and post sales processes and the customer/supplier relationship in its entirety (i.e. quote to cash). Provides operational support in the sales channel to support sales associates and managers in their revenue generation activities.


- Responsibilities include Sales Process support (sales reports and analysis, budgets, results etc.) and Revenue Recognition support (reporting etc.).


- Support the sales staff at the back-end in meeting revenue targets by ensuring the timely negotiation, closing, processing and implementation of orders through interaction with various teams, ensuring early realization of revenue and contributing to credit reduction by working with collections teams and customers in resolving credit disputes.


- Also ensuring that the appropriate corporate deal governance and SOX guidelines are respected and that the deals are appropriately scrutinized in the context of these guidelines.


- Provide support to account managers on network inventory information and any other sales support.


- Generate reports for account managers. Provide feedback for improvement/changes in methods and techniques.


Level Descriptor :


- Creates performance reports and sales support process efficiency.


- Tracks pre-sales calls report and helps to identify support points to a/c managers like feasibility requests and order buckets status and report the same to the supervisor.


- Participate in discussions with sales teams for inputs on improving sales support by reduction in order processing time and missing documents.


- Able to independently resolve complex projects, issues, challenges encountered. Operational role, responsible for delivering results that have direct impact on the achievement of results within the job area and may also impact a wider operational area.


- Capable of instructing professional or technical staff and reviewing the quality of the work undertaken by these roles.May lead/manage small teams for small projects.


- Capable of identifying key issues and priorities and focusing on these to deliver required results with minimal direction and supervision.


- Demonstrate a level of flexibility in resolving problems/issues that at least to in-depth command of all techniques, processes, tools and standards, within the relevant field of specialisation.


- Able to identify problems and significantly improve, change or adapt existing methods and techniques.
