Assistant Manager - Sales - Rice Export (5-8 yrs)
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and execute sales strategies for rice export markets, targeting both new and existing customers to achieve revenue and market expansion goals.
- Identify and explore new business opportunities in international markets, building relationships with key customers, distributors, and importers.
- Manage and maintain relationships with current clients in export markets, ensuring satisfaction and retention.
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms with clients and distributors, ensuring profitable deals and long-term partnerships.
- Monitor global rice market trends, pricing, and demand to adjust sales strategies and stay competitive.
- Prepare and submit regular sales reports on performance, market analysis, competitor activity, and customer feedback to senior management.
- Coordinate with the logistics and operations team to ensure timely and efficient delivery of rice exports to international clients, managing inventory and order fulfillment.
- Work closely with the finance team to ensure smooth invoicing, payment collection, and adherence to credit terms.
- Assist in the development of promotional materials and sales presentations for international clients, highlighting product quality, specifications, and pricing.
- Participate in trade shows and international business events, representing the company and promoting rice products to potential buyers.
- Ensure compliance with export regulations and international trade laws, including customs documentation and product certifications.
- Provide regular feedback to the product development and marketing teams based on customer preferences and market demand.
Required Skills & Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Business, International Trade, Marketing, or a related field.
- 5-8 years of experience in sales, preferably in the export industry, with a focus on food products (ideally rice or other agricultural commodities).
- Solid knowledge of international trade processes, export documentation, and logistics.
- Experience in negotiating contracts and pricing with international buyers and distributors.
- Strong understanding of the global rice market, including key export markets and trends.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to manage relationships across diverse cultures.
- Proven ability to meet sales targets and drive business growth in export markets.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and CRM systems.
- Ability to travel internationally as required to meet clients and attend trade events.
