Personal & Qualification

Qualification:

Master / Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Physics / Chemical Engineering.

Minimum 5 years- experience as per position.

Gender: Male

Location - Daman

Salary - 7-9LPA

Role Purpose:

The Asst. Manager R & D is a critical Technical position in Chemical Division . This position is ultimately responsible for all aspects of all New Product development as per market requirements as per facilities available . This includes product development / Product Formulations, Technical Training to all other units, preparing all the Technical data sheets / MSDS .

He will be responsible for planning, managing and reporting on all Technical issues and operations with overall responsibilities for completion of Product Development and Product commercialization .

Key Accountabilities:

- The Position also will responsible for identify and promote areas for innovation and new product line extension based on a thorough understanding of market needs. This position will be responsible for development of value-added product modifications in addition to the development of new and novel product technologies.

- Directs activities of QA&Lab technicians setting up prototype units for Application of the new products and perform experimental operations, to get confidence of Sales People on new products.

- Considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one.

- Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.

- To ensure that all internal R & D systems and practices of Company are in alignment with the Company strategy, monitor the execution of the Research & Development of New Products.

- To deliver allocated development of new products on-time, in-budget and to-specification.

- Plan and coordinates technical activities in plant and lab

- Improving product quality and putting quality systems in place, monthly audit of Quality process.

- Directs and Execute activities of Lab in process of new product development, prepare MSDS and Process Sheets, Job Sheets with internal coding of Raw material .

- Directs and Execute in planning for Raw Material for new product development and product modifications with purchase department and production department well in advance.

- Evaluates performance records of new Products, based on sales people and customer feedback, physical performance of products, submits report of findings to management

- Work with Sales and Marketing to identify, develop and evaluate new products and new technologies and monthly report to management.

- Work with customers and Sales people to support field trials of new products

- Provide support to production and plant operations to develop, evaluate, and implement new product production processes and methods.

- Training, upgrading subordinates

- Other jobs as assignment Business Head by as on when required .

- Provide CI (Continuous Improvement) initiatives and tracking

- Works with Corporate team to develop growth strategies.

- Develops forecast and growth strategies for new projects.

Competences:

- Must have good communication Skill

- Good Team Player

- Excellent knowledge on formulations

- Excellent knowledge on Production and QC Testing

- Hands on Experience with Application Testing

- Good Knowledge on New Product development

- Critical Thinking - Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems

- Monitoring - Monitoring/Assessing performance of self, other individuals, or organizations to make improvements or take corrective action
