Looking for: VP, Sales & Partnerships

You will report to: CEO/Head of Sales

Compensation: Market based cash component + stock options

About you :

- You are a crack and gifted salesperson with a track record of making breakthroughs through dogged persistence. You have worked for some of the best organizations in the financial sector most probably also including multinationals that are early adopters of technology. You have close and deep relationships with CXOs in the sector and can engage in the most resonating line of business conversations with them. You probably don- t work for money anymore and are missing a sense of purpose in your work.

- You have seen how the ideology of India's IT sector is undergoing a tectonic shift. For a young breed of companies and a new generation of Indian engineers, life is not anymore about making the numbers and keeping your nose clean. Instead it is about making impact through original, cutting edge technology, driven by the need to solve India's most pressing problems. This excites you, it resonates with you and you want a part in it.

Artoo believes that the best way to serve this segment at scale is to empower field agents at Banks and Financial Institutions with intelligent technology at the borrower's doorstep. They are using a combination of Machine Learning and Behavioral Science to create this disruptive platform which works on aggregate data from all the partner banks.

- Artoo has been ranked among Top 100 Inclusive FinTechs worldwide by BFA. Please read more about it via this article on World Economic Forum. Further, they were recognized among Top 5 in Asia in our chosen segment i.e. Tools for Financial Institutions.

- Today, they work with 10 prominent financial institutions in India including 2 of the top 10 private banks (RBL, Yes Bank) and 3 of the top 10 MFIs. In the last 2 years they have helped disburse INR 2000 crore in loans to 500,000 small businesses. With their strategic partnership with Finacle, Infosys- Core Banking Solution, to develop a joint go to market strategy to expand into Southeast Asia and Africa.

- Artoo is a VC backed startup with global FinTech investor, Accion and mostly recently valued at $8 Million. They are looking for a few key strategic roles to build out our team before our next fundraise. With the strong investor interest they have received, they are quite confident of raising $5 Million and improving our valuation to $15-20 valuation before March 2018 - yes, just a few months away!

- Success for this role will be measured by your ability to -

- Grow autonomous, high performance, and highly collaborative sales teams. Coach and nurture the team and create structure.

- Define the sales strategy to build a strong pipeline of clients. Prospect and source new clients through introductions, conferences / networking events and other outbound sales activities

- Meet with CEOs, COOs, IT Executives & other key stakeholders to pitch Artoo's product. Navigate organizations and persuade decision makers of Artoo's value in mission critical business functions.

- Monitor customer, market and competitor activity and constantly tweak sales strategy to remain competitive.

- Create strategic partnerships, appoint channel partners for key markets within and outside of India.

- Work closely with the Product team to infuse market intelligence and key business learnings into newer product features and versions.

Who we are looking for:

A successful candidate will have the following experience and personal traits:

Experience:

- 8 - 12 years of B2B sales experience. Experience in enterprise software or financial technology is preferred.

- At least 5+ years of leading and managing sales teams

- Strong history and track record of navigating long sales cycle in a mission critical, strategic product purchase decision

- Extensive prior customer relationships with lending institutions and banks. Existing CIO relationships and ability to develop C-level relationships within banks

- Familiarity with Financial Inclusion and Alternative Lending models is a huge plus
