Area Sales Manager/Regional Sales Manager - Consumer Durables (7-20 yrs)

Our client is a large (Annual turnover exceeds Rs.3000 crores) leading Indian consumer durables products organisation having multi-product categories, multi-locational manufacturing set-ups and national presence and sales offices all over India. The organisation is highly profitable with excellent brands and are Leaders in their field. Our clients are on a rapid transformation phase and hope to grow very rapidly in the next few years.

Our clients are launching a new product category in the Consumer Durables space and hence are seeking to actively recruit dynamic & experienced ASMs & RSMs to be based in various cities in India. ASMs report to RSMs & RSMs report to the Head-Sales. Our clients offer excellent salary/perks as per industry norms & commensurate with experience.

Interviews are scheduled shortly and the positions expected to be closed before end-April.

Job Profile :

ASMs :

- Vacancies exist in NCR (Delhi,Gurgaon), Mumbai, Chennai, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Cochin. The positions involve heading the respective State Sales operations, building & leading large teams of over 15# sales professionals and achieving targeted sales turnovers along with budgeted profitabilities.

- We are looking at engineers or graduates (preferably MBAs) with 7-13 years experience in Consumer Durables or Home Appliances. Must be currently heading a state or a large area/territory. Experience in channel management is a must. Must be currently leading a team of 5-10.

RSMs :

- Vacancies exist in NCR (Delhi,Gurgaon), Chennai, Mumbai. The positions involve heading the respective Regional Sales operations, building & leading large teams of over 15# sales professionals and achieving targeted sales turnovers along with budgeted profitabilities.

KRAs :

- Meeting Sales and Distribution targets in line with Annual Business plan

- Responsible for market share goals for the region

- Responsible for aggressive channel expansion and development

- Responsible for Channel deliverables, P & L and market share goals set out for the region

- Implementation of field marketing activities in the region

- Credit control, receivables management as per the commercial policies

- Leading and grooming Area Managers

- Keeping track of competition and provide critical inputs to the division on market happenings

- Regional operations managers oversee and are responsible for interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work,appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees and providing leadership on a daily basis to employees within their region

- Analyze sales statistics gathered by the team to determine sales potential and inventory requirements.

- Monitor customer requirements and response

Candidate Profile :

- Engineers or 2 year Full-time MBAs with 15-20 years relevant experience in sales of Consumer Durables or Home Appliances segment at the regional level. Experience of dealing with large dealer networks is essential.

- Must be leading a sales team of at least 10-15

- Must have experience in starting operations in new territories and/or launching new products / companies.
