Job Description :

- Born Good is looking for a motivated and experienced Area Sales Manager to lead our outdoor distribution efforts in India. This role provides an exciting opportunity to contribute to the expansion of our brand presence and drive sales in the outdoor retail sector.

Key Responsibilities

- Territory Management :

- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve and exceed sales targets in the assigned geographical area. Identify and analyse market trends, competition, and customer needs to optimize territory performance.

- Key Performance Indicator: Monthly and quarterly sales showcasing revenue growth and market share.

- Channel Development :

- Build and maintain strong relationships with outdoor retailers, distributors, and dealers. Expand the company's presence in the outdoor retail sector through the identification and onboarding of new business partners.

- KPI : Quarterly assessment of new partnerships and the revenue generated from new channels.

- Team Leadership :

- Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing sales team focused on outdoor distribution. Provide ongoing coaching and support to ensure the team meets or exceeds sales objectives.

- KPI : Track the success of marketing initiatives through sales data and customer feedback.

- Sales Planning and Execution :

- Develop and execute sales plans, promotions, and product launches in collaboration with the marketing team. Monitor and analyse sales performance, making adjustments as needed to achieve targets.

- KPI : Regular customer feedback surveys and resolution of customer issues within a defined time frame

- Customer Relationship Management :

- Foster strong relationships with key clients, addressing their needs and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. Resolve customer complaints or issues promptly and effectively.

- KPI : Timely submission of reports, highlighting key trends and potential opportunities or threats.

- Market Intelligence :

- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments. Provide regular reports and feedback to the management team regarding market conditions and opportunities.

- Budget Management :

- Manage the sales budget for the assigned area, ensuring cost-effective strategies and efficient resource utilization.

- KPI : Monthly and quarterly budget reviews, highlighting areas of variance and corrective actions.

Skills we are looking for :

- Proven experience as an Area Sales Manager or in a similar role, preferably in the consumer goods.

- Strong understanding of the outdoor retail market in India.

- Excellent leadership and team management skills.

- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute successful sales strategies.

- Effective communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

- Results-driven with a focus on achieving and exceeding sales targets.

- Willingness to travel within the assigned territory.
