Area Manager - B2C Sales - Education (4-8 yrs)

Job Summary :

ABOUT THE ROLE Toppr is looking for a Area Manager in its Sales Renewals team. As a Area Manager, you- ll schedule and conduct structured counseling sessions with students to understand their learning needs. Apart from being an individual contributor, you- ll manage a team of mentors. You- ll support your team members to achieve the ambitious targets set for them and be responsible for strengthening Toppr's customer base. To do so, you- ll ensure that you and your team are there for the customer every step of the way, which includes understanding their queries and coordinating cross-functionally to get them resolved. ABOUT TOPPR Toppr is India's leading ed-tech company with a mission to make learning personalized. Our adaptive after-school learning app for classes 5th to 12th is used by over 60 lakh students. We have the widest syllabus support that covers over 20 subjects, 20 boards, and 50 exams. We believe each child is unique with distinct learning needs. We are building Toppr as an adaptive platform to increase engagement, optimize learning and improve outcomes for all students. Toppr was started in 2013 by IIT Bombay alumni Zishaan Hayath and Hemanth Goteti and is backed by venture capital firms like SAIF, Helion, Eight Roads, and Kaizen.

Responsibilities and Duties :

- Understand Toppr's journey, its values, and mission.

- Spend time with the HR, Talent Acquisition, Marketing, Product, and Sales teams to get up-to-speed on Toppr's offering, its competition, and future outlook.

By Day 30- Carry out at least 3-4 counseling sessions/day with students and their parents at their homes.

- Get to know your team members, understand their expectations, and assess the opportunities and challenges that lie ahead of them.

- Become an expert at understanding students- profiles and their problems. Support your team members in negotiating and handling customer objections effectively.

- Check the quality of lead assignment. Map the right lead to the right team member to ensure successful meetings and conversions.

By Day 90- Coach and mentor your team members. Nurture your team members to grow in the Sales Organization.

- Conduct regular refresher training sessions with your team to help them face and excel in different sales scenarios. Drive the sales process to let your team achieve the input and output metrics.

- Create a culture to develop high-performance teams. Watch the revenue you bring in to make a widespread impact on Toppr's business.

Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications:

MBA/PGDM or B.Tech/BE from recognized institutes. B.Com or equivalent graduates from reputed colleges can also apply.

- 4 - 8 years of Business to Consumer (B2C) sales experience is preferable.

- Awareness of the subjects taught from classes 5 to 12 across various boards/curriculums globally. Sound knowledge and understanding of the challenges students face in schools/coaching classes.
