Ample Technologies - Senior Merchandiser (1-3 yrs)
Job Responsibilities :
- Build constructive relationships with suppliers, distributors to negotiate deals, order fulfilment and time-scales
- Collaborating with Retail sales, warehouse, finance team for smooth operation.
- Ensuring Brand compliance with merchandising strategies.
- Knowledge in Demand and supply planning.
- Plan and develop merchandising strategies that balance customers- expectations and company's objectives.
- Monitor inventory level and consider markdowns, promotions, price changes, clear outs etc
- Analyzing sales figures, market trends and customer behavior to determine product needs
Skills and qualities :
- 2-3 years working experience in merchandising
- Proven working experience in merchandising
- Excellent vendor management and planning skills
- Proficient at maths and excellent IT skills
- Good at forecasting and paying attention to new and upcoming trends
- Good negotiating and influencing skills
- Commercial acumen
- Ability to multi-task whilst working under pressure
- Ability to develop strong relationships with suppliers to ensure smooth progression of products on a day-to-day basis
- Customer focus
- Ability to delegate; team-working, motivational and leadership skills
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
Work conditions :
Travel : Mainly office based work but can require some travel.
Working hours : Can involve unsocial hours including weekends, evenings especially while product launch and new store opening.
