Site Merchandising


1. Job Purpose

- The purpose of this job is to utilize Jaypore Merchandising capability to deliver high sell-through merchandise of the E-Commerce channels. The job will entail:

1. SKU analysis of top seller and bottom seller especially for ecommerce buys to advise revenue team, planning, buyer and shopex teams on actions to improve sale ability of buys

2. Implementation of Stylumia- tool to generate product insights for online

3. Roll out of SMU plans converted into comprehensive grids for buyer and sourcing to procure for the channel merchandize which can deliver industry benchmark STRs as well as with profitability objective for channel

4. Run processes to capture competition trends to feedback to buyer and other teams for product strategy online

5. Best Seller recommendation to improve in stock % for the business.

2. Job Context and Major Challenges

- Jaypore has embarked on its accelerated E-commerce journey. The three key focus areas it is looking at are Demand Generation, Customer Experience and building Profitable business. Its strategy is customer retention while acquiring new & loyal customers by ensuring personalized and seamless experience to them and ensure profitability via efficiencies in Operations. Some of its key enablers would be product revamp apart from new sources of growth including app.

Major Challenges :

- Gap in using analytics and review mechanism to garner feedback on changing fashion trends and customer needs and quality input into buying for the channel

- Sourcing Model to meet channel assortment requirements profitably

- In view of these challenges, which are unique to online business coupled with a clarity that the channel has a differentiated requirement to retail, there is a clear direction to build a B&M team for the channel. This role will lead this vision of building a strong B&M engine, which will control the right supply for the channel.

3. Principal Accountability

1. SKU analysis of topseller and bottom seller especially for ecommerce buys to advise revenue team, planning, buyer and shopex teams on actions to improve saleability of buys

- Utilize Multiple tools to analyses Sales trends vs product attributes/ designs & differentiate Best Sellers from Bottom sellers

- Recommend steps to improve sales on ecommerce buys and thus influence STR/ROS performance of line.

2. Run processes to capture competition trends to feedback to buyer and other teams for product strategy online

- Utilize Stylumia and crawlers to capture competition trends to bring external view to product opportunities online.

3. Best Seller recommendation to improve instock % for the business

- Rhythm of monitoring best seller performance, necessary steps to ensure ROS of Best sellers in maintained

- Weekly publishing of best seller recommendations to buyer for procurement.

4. Improve SMU performance

- GV/Conversion and ROS assessment option wise of existing SMU lines Daily/Weekly and recommend actions including pricing/marketing by various stakeholders

- Input to Revenue Manager on action plan to improve SMU performance and maximize sales.
