Account Executive - Media Relations (1-3 yrs)

Requirements :

- Master's degree preferred

- 1-3 years of relevant experience

- Experience managing large account portfolios

- Strong customer service and project management skills

- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills

- Highly organized and solution-oriented

- Detail-oriented and able to prioritize

- Self-starter and able to work efficiently under pressure

Team Responsibilities :

- Candidates should be proactive and result oriented. Should be able to spot opportunities for clients on his/her own without external push. For example, I reached out to the media for a story but the journalist said no to it. The buck should stop there. Try and see how can get the story out and come back with results. The team will support you in all this

- To be able to take a brief from a client, assess the media opportunities and recommend a media plan

- Has built strong relations with the media and is constantly in touch for opportunities for our clients

- Do not mind walking the extra-mile by working on a holiday (you won- t be alone if the need arises, the team will join you too.)

- Open to feedback and learning

- Manage press conferences, media invites, attendance, and follow-ups

- Understands the client's business landscape and can map it with client opportunities

- Can track media movements and speaker opportunities for the clients

- Is adept at reporting media coverage to the client along with analysis and recommendations on next steps

- Is able to manage other team members and stringers for media delivery

- Strong media relations and content skills

- Should have the ability to pitch stories to the media, prepare first draft of opinion articles, press releases etc. Again, the team will be there to support and help you with this too
