Business Manager, 1018mb

The position is for a two year Business Manager working closely with two of the Founders (Abhay & SKS). The role isn- t aligned with a single function, rather it is geared towards helping us by sharing some of our responsibilities in programming, execution, content acquisition, business development, marketing, strategy, distribution.

The role entails working with all key stakeholders (DISTRIBUTION VALUE CHAIN) - Content owners who could be large studios/Independent producers, Exhibitors who could be Cinemas/Preview/Non-theatrical venues, Audiences, Media, Brands, Cast & Crew.

Primary objective of the role would be

- Grow the no. of shows being greenlit every month

- Grow the audience base and engagement level

- Activate more venues and build a network of non-theatrical venue

- Innovate to improve experience and monetization

- Commence international operations

Post the two years, I- d expect the person to be ready to take on a management role within the company or expansion effort.

Some key activities may include

- Interact with Exhibitors on a regular basis to identify their lean periods and content requirements

- Interact regularly with core audience base to understand their choices better and seek feedback, ideas

- Programming based on requests from users, content owners, cinema

- Curate screenings

- Manage operations associated with screening - content/DCPs, testing, ticketing, manage greivance

- Identify and source content

- Identify, sign-up and develop attractive properties /regions for screening

- Work with internal team & stakeholders on all marketing initiatives

- Manage offline initiatives to develop audience bases around key properties

- Support with studying patterns and building algorithms

- Support in developing UX & Backend (Technology)

Skills/Requirements

- Passionate about movies and the entertainment industry as whole

- Being organised, set/follow processes, detail oriented, and getting things done are base requirements

- Communicate concisely and clearly. Both verbally and in writing

- Ability and motivation to learn independently

- Extremely comfortable working on social platforms

- Good people and networking skills

- Preferred: Ability to work on various design softwares

- 1-3 years of experience. Degree not required

We have pan-India presence and partner closely with Cinepolis, Mukta, Carnival, Gold to name a few. On the content side, we are tied with most top studios across the board and work with independent producers for limited releases of their titles.
